The QED team recently joined Sea Lanes to celebrate the completion of Sea Lanes Canary Wharf, a unique new leisure destination in the heart of London’s docklands.
Featuring an Olympic-size lido and sauna, the development has transformed an existing waterfront site into a vibrant space for outdoor swimming and wellbeing. QED provided structural engineering services for the project, developing a lightweight timber solution that worked with the site’s retained infrastructure while meeting the demands of its exposed waterfront location. The design carefully balanced durability, efficiency, and future flexibility, helping to bring this exciting scheme to life.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the project’s success with the wider team, as we enjoyed a few drinks while watching swimmers make the most of the new facility. This event was a great reminder of the positive impact the development will have on the local community and visitors.
We are proud to have played a role in delivering this project and would like to congratulate everyone involved for their collaboration, expertise, and commitment throughout.
