a day of fun and competition: our go-karting company outing
On the 6th of September, our teams from our Hove, London, and Manchester offices met at Buckmore Park for a day of go-karting. It was a welcome change of pace and an opportunity to step away from our usual routines, connect in person, and enjoy some light-hearted competition.
Getting Started
We began the day with a casual morning at the office, before going to Buckmore Park. All offices met in the lobby, where there was time for everyone to catch up and get ready for the races. It was a friendly atmosphere and a good opportunity to get to know some of the new faces. there was a nice range of experience with some who have raced before and some first-time drivers.
on the track
Following a safety briefing, we suited up and took to the track. Wet conditions added a bit of challenge, but also made for some exciting moments. Tight corners, surprise drifts, and competitive lap times brought out everyone’s best efforts.
building connections
What stood out most was the chance to connect with colleagues from different teams and locations. Whether sharing driving tips or reflecting on the races, the day gave us time to talk, laugh, and build stronger working relationships.
reflecting on the experience
After several rounds of racing, we gathered to reflect on our experiences. This reflection not only enhanced our understanding of each other but also reinforced the importance of collaboration in our daily work. Recognising individual achievements created a sense of accomplishment and unity within the team.
looking ahead
The outing was a great reminder of the value in stepping outside the workplace to connect and recharge. This experience helps reinforce collaboration and mutual support making our teams successful and enhancing our workplace culture.
