We are excited to celebrate Gemma, our London office Business Administrator who joined QED 6 months ago. We recently interviewed Gemma to talk about her journey, experiences, and reflections during her time with us.
What is your name and how long have you been working at QED?
My name is Gemma Pugh, and I have been at QED Structures for 6 months.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I enjoy upcycling lamps and vintage clothes.
Which office are you based in and how do you travel to work?
I work in the London Office; I travel to work by bus and tube.
What is your favourite thing about where you live?
I enjoy living in London because it’s such a cosmopolitan city, there’s always so much going on. I really appreciate the diversity and vibrant mix of cultures.
What was your last job like and how have you progressed since then?
My last role was as an Office Manager on a construction site. It was incredibly busy, and no two days were ever the same. I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of interesting and diverse characters. The role I’m in now is very different from what I was doing on the building sites there’s really no comparison.
Are there any challenges you have had to overcome since working at QED?
My main challenge was learning a new software package and stepping into a role that was completely different from what I have done before. However, I now feel I’ve got to grips with it and am much more confident in my abilities.
What have you enjoyed about your time at QED so far?
I’ve really enjoyed working with my friendly colleagues they’re what truly make QED such a great place to be. I also love my office and genuinely enjoy coming in each day.
